Denise Cruse is a passionate personal & group fitness trainer serving specialty populations since 2016.  She began her career exclusively serving adults and children with developmental and physical disabilities.  However, in 2020, her first pregnancy was classified as high-risk. Denise was diagnosed with a variety of health challenges which included Gestational Diabetes.  Her health team advised her to manage her high-risk pregnancy through diet and exercise.  She tapped into her extensive knowledge of effective nutritional and fitness practices to successfully navigate her high-risk pregnancy.  Shortly after, she began helping other high-risk pregnancy patients do the same.  Denise launched the Healthy, Happy, High-Risk Pregnancy Exercise Plan in 2022.

Denise’s energetic and nurturing approach to fitness training has improved the quality of life and self-esteem for her clients through weight loss, enhanced muscular strength, flexibility and range of motion.  Her client list includes people with Fibroids, Gestational Diabetes, Anemia, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Down Syndrome, Kidney Infection and Paraplegia just to name a few. She has also worked with a variety of organizations including: One World Center for Autism, Maryland State Department of Education Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) and Parents of Children with Down Syndrome (PODS) of Prince George’s County.

She is also a sought after speaker.  Denise was the keynote speaker for the Phenomenon Woman, She’s C-Suite Brunch in Baltimore, MD in November 2021. She was also a presenter for the 2021 Youth & Adult Conference hosted by the National Down Syndrome Congress.

Denise is also extremely passionate about community service.  She was served as a weekly volunteer and workshop presenter, for over a year at a half, at the Suited for Change non-profit.  In February 2022, she began her service as a Lifeline Partnership Board Member.

Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metro area, Denise currently resides in Camp Springs, MD.  She obtained a B.A. in Communication from Seton Hall University and her personal fitness certification from the American Fitness Professionals and Associates (AFPA). She is also a Starburst candy enthusiast, with a deep affinity for the strawberry flavor.
